The Desmond and Penny Show

Let's get something straight: Claire and Charlie were cute, but not together. Jin and Sun win for best-dressed, but around the time that I started liking them my mother was kind enough to point out that they were like some weird Korean soap-opera couple (moms are good for that sort of thing.) The Jack/Kate/Sawyer/Juliet love quad-riangle never did anything for me. And don't even get me started on Sayid and Shannon.

Desmond Hume and Penelope Widmore Hume were by far the best couple on Lost, brotha. They had the coolest lines, and downright awesome accents. And of course they never got as much screen time as I wanted.

"I take it you don't believe in miracles? Right. Well, I'm gonna give you some advice anyway. You have to lift it up." - Desmond
"Des, I've been looking for you for the past three years. I know about the island. I've been researching and then when I spoke to your friend Charlie, that's when I knew you were still alive." - Penny
"'What was that all about?" I asked. "Just saving the world" he said. So I started pushing the button too. We saved the world together for a while and that was lovely. Then Kalvin died, and now here I am all alone. The end." - Desmond
"Look, right over there, beyond where you can see there is an island and it's a very special island. I left it a long time ago. I never thought I'd see it again. It's called Great Britain." - Desmond
